How to Clear Eye Discharge in Kittens

Hold your kitten in a comfortable position where he can stay put.

Dampen a clean cotton swab with warm water.

Swab the corner of the eye gently. Use more clean cotton swabs as necessary. Be careful not to touch the eye's surface with the swab.

Monitor the kitten during the day to see if more mucus has accumulated. If it has, observe its consistency and make a note of it. When the consistency is thick and yellowish or green, it might be due to an infection. Watery and runny consistency might be due to a respiratory illness.
