Over time, clear plastic headlight lens covers become discolored and scratched. This does not look appealing to the eye, and it also hinders your headlight beam from projecting far on the road ahead. With a professional headlight lens cleaning product, you can easily clean your headlight lenses and make them look as good as new.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Drill with buffer attachment
  • Headlight lens cleaning product
  • Microfiber cloth
  1. Step 1

Attach the buffer attachment to your standard drill, then squeeze a quarter-size amount of professional headlight cleaner to the buffer pad. Use any brand of headlight cleaner. (See Resources for examples.)

  2. Step 2

Place the buffer pad on your headlight lenses and turn on your drill. Thoroughly buff the cleaning solution into the lenses, making sure not to miss any spots. Spend about one to two minutes buffing the lenses.

  3. Step 3

Wipe off the cleaning solution with a microfiber cloth using the same motions you would use to wipe off wax on a car. Your headlight lenses should be clear and free of discoloration and scratches.
