How to Caulk Sinks

Remove old caulk by scraping with a utility knife if necessary.

Wipe the area with a wet cloth to remove the old caulk.

Cut the tip of the caulk cartridge at a 45-degree angle to taper the nozzle.

Insert the caulk cartridge into the caulk gun.

Squeeze the caulk gun to apply the caulk along the base of the sink.

Apply the caulk in a smooth motion around the edge of the sink.

Smooth the caulk with your finger or a damp cloth.

Remove the excess with a damp cloth.

Allow caulk to dry for 24 to 36 hours before allowing exposure to moisture.
