Chrome griddles are flat cooking surfaces. You can purchase a chrome griddle in gas or electric heating types. Chrome is an alloy with a soft finish that can scratch or damage easily. Chrome surfaces hold heat inside the food and do not release much heat into the air. They also are easier to clean than standard griddles. Clean your chrome griddles after every use for continued performance.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Flexible nylon spatula
  • Two soft scrub cloths
  • Mild degreaser dish soap
  1. Step 1

Scrape the chrome griddle with a flexible nylon spatula. While the griddle is still warm, remove any left-on food particles. Pull the spatula forward toward the front and push into a garbage can.

  2. Step 2

Moisten one of the soft scrub cloths. Add a drop of mild degreaser dish soap on the cloth. Put two sides of the cloth together and rub to create soap lather.

  3. Step 3

Wipe the griddle from left to right. Clean in rows, top to bottom. Wash the entire griddle, including the sides. Rinse all the soap from the cloth and wipe any suds from the chrome griddle.

  4. Step 4

Remove all moisture from the griddle with the second, clean soft cloth. Wipe the area in rows again as well as the sides and front. Repeat to ensure the chrome griddle is dry.

Tips & Warnings
  • Using metal or abrasive cleaning tools or cleaning products on a chrome griddle will damage the finish. This will lead to scratches and poor performance.
