Weddings always present new challenges. From attire to decor to food -- there seems to be no end of tasks to attend to when preparing for the big event. Hanging flower bouquets for weddings is a romantic touch that requires just a little patience and minimal skill. The trick is to take it one step at a time and enjoy the process of creating a beautiful touch to a memorable occasion.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Small tin pails (6 inches tall)
  • Fresh flowers
  • Floral foam
  • Pew clips
  • Ribbon
  • Wrapping paper
  • Glue
  • Tulle
  1. Step 1

Prepare your pails. Wrap your pails in decorative gift paper suitable for a wedding or wrap in tulle. Use a hot glue gun with the tulle and regular glue for the wrapping paper. Insert floral foam into the pail to secure the flowers. Tie ribbon around the pail in colors that coordinate with the wedding decor. Place the flowers in the pails so that they form bouquets. Be stingy with the water so that it doesn't spill on carpet or clothing if someone were to bump into one of them.

  2. Step 2

Hang the bouquets on pews. This is actually an easy process. To hang the bouquets, attach the flowers to the pews from the pail handles using pew clips. Pew clips can be purchased by the dozen for under $20. These slide easily over the end of pews and have a hook that the bouquets can hang from. If pew clips aren't an option, secure hanging wire around the end of the pew. Create a tight knot with the wire so that it stays in place, then loop a piece of the wire through the pail handle and tie securely.

  3. Step 3

Use ribbon to hang the bouquets. Hang bouquets along staircases in order to create a dramatic touch to the bride's descent down the stairs. Tie wide width ribbon securely around the handle and hang between the spindles. The flowers will rest against the spindles. Hang bouquets between each one to create a uniform look. Consider hanging the bouquets over door handles using the pail handle itself. Hang these on doors that people won't be using during the ceremony.

Tips & Warnings
  • Repurpose the bouquets by using them as table centerpieces at the reception.
