Step 1
Gather and prepare the following ingredients for the pistachio and chocolate bark recipe:
* 1-1/2 pounds semi-sweet baking chocolate chips
* 1 cup shelled, roasted and coarsely chopped pistachio nuts, plus 1/3 cup
* 1 teaspoon freshly grated orange or lemon zest
* 1/4 cup raisins -
Step 2
Line a 9" x 13" (or larger) baking dish bottom and sides with foil. Mix the 1 cup of the pistachios and 1/4 cup raisins in a bowl, and then divide mixture in half. Add orange or lemon zest to one of the half. Set aside.

Step 3
In a large bowl, melt one pound chocolate chips in microwave using high heat until popping sound occurs.

Fold the pistachio-raisin part that includes the zest to the melted chocolate. Stir in the remaining chocolate chips, folding and working quickly while the mixture is still hot.

Step 5
Transfer pistachio-chocolate mixture onto prepared baking dish. Spread to a 1/4" thickness. Smooth top with a spatula after pouring. Sprinkle remaining 1/3 cup pistachios on top the mixture.
Cover dish with plastic food wrap and refrigerate for 30 minutes or until bark is firm and set. -
Step 6
Invert pan and place pistachio and chocolate bark on a platter. Discard foil. Use a long sharp knife and cut out some straight lines on the bark. Use hand to break pistachio and chocolate bark into 3" or 4" size of irregular shape pieces. Enjoy.
