Instructions
  1. Step 1

Step 1) No one likes having a cold--you feel achy, tired, congested, and miserable. So why not try some preventative maintenance. Step 1 in stop catching colds involves treating yourself better. Try to get at least 6 hours of sleep at night, exercise better, and for goodness sake, stop smoking cigarettes. Stop lowering your immune system--keep it strong!

Step 2) The second step in stop catching colds involves getting your recommended daily dose of Vitamin D. An easy way to get enough vitamin D is to drink a glass of orange juice every morning when you wake up. With the orange juice, drink a glass of water as well to hydrate your body.

  3. Step 3

Step 3) The third step in stop catching colds is to wash your hands with soap and hot water every time you use the bathroom and before every meal. You should take special attention to do this when you are using a public restroom. You have no idea what kind of germs you are carrying on your hands that can give you a cold.

  4. Step 4

Step 4) The fourth step in stop catching colds is to not use public facilities during cold and flu season. For example, commom cold germs are carried on grocery carts, doors to public facilities, and public library computers. If you are going to use these public facilities, please clean your hands afterward.

  5. Step 5
