It's a dietary and health nightmare, but the Luther burger is widely popular in parts of the southern United States. The burger became more known when it was featured on Cartoon Network's "The Boondocks." The burger was named after the late singer Luther Vandross, and legend has it that he himself invented it. Follow these steps to make it yourself.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • A Krispy Kreme doughnut
  • 2 Strips of bacon
  • A Slice of American cheese
  • A beef patty
  1. Step 1

    Cook your beef patty, and add cheese if you desire. While your patty is cooking, you should also be cooking your bacon or have it already prepared.

  2. Step 2

    Slice your Krispy Kreme doughnut in half, and toast it if you desire. you can also make your Luther burger using 2 whole Krispy Kreme doughnuts as the buns without slicing.

  3. Step 3

    Place your beef patty on top of the bottom half of your Krispy Kreme doughnut. Add your bacon on top of the patty and cover it with the top half of your doughnut.

  4. Step 4

    Serve with fries or anything else you may desire and enjoy.

Tips & Warnings
  • This burger has been nicknamed a cardiologist's nightmare and has over 1000 calories. If you enjoy this burger, do not make the consumption of it a regular thing.
