Step 1
ANGER IS ABOUT PASSION
The angriest people I know tend to be the most passionate. Passion is a double edged sword that can prove to be helpful when you need that second wind to finish what you’ve started or it can lead you to doing things that you might normally not do. Passion is defined as a barely controllable emotion, which means you primarily do not have control of anger once you are mad. So in essence this type of passionate emotion does not do you service in the long run. -
Step 2
DO NOT EMPOWER WHICH MAKES YOU ANGRY
This is easier said than done however the root of being angry is a feed back loop of the mind. Something annoys or frustrates you then you think about it passionately over and over again stewing on the mixed emotions until you explode. You must practice catching yourself starting to feel angry and then find another fixation that does not lead you to become angry. Just because you feel angry doesn’t mean you are angry. Feeing angry and being angry are two different states. Feeling angry you have no control over however being angry is your choice. -
Step 3
ANGER IS ABOUT NOT GETTING WHAT YOU WANT
We often get angry because things don’t go our way. Know that you can have anything you want in life but you cant have everything, so that means that you have to choose the things that are realistic and achievable daily, in order to get less angry about the things that you don’t get. -
Step 4
BE OPEN TO CHANGE
One of the most fundamental reasons why people get angry is because they are scared to change, so they act angry and throw their hands up and pound their fist on the table. This is nothing more than a ploy for their discomfort for the change that is about to take place in their lives. The more open and embracing you are to change the less likely you will fall victim to your anger. -
Step 5
NOT BEING ANGRY TAKES PRACTICE
I can’t simply tell you not to be angry. You have to consciously catch yourself trying to be angry and then do what ever you can to not act on that emotion. The truth about this step is that the more you practice it the less you become a victim to it’s destructive aftermath.
