2. Step 2) The second step in becoming a teacher is taking the praxis exam. The Praxis Exam is a comprehensive, subject-specific exam designed specifically for teachers so if you want to become a teacher you need to take and pass the praxis exam.

3. Step 3) The third step in becoming a teacher is getting teaching experience. Here are some common ways to get teaching experience: tutoring on your own, tutoring for a tutoring company, coaching, and even teaching Sunday School. In order to become a teacher, you are going to have to get experience as a teacher.

4. Step 4) The fourth step in becoming a teacher is applying to teaching jobs at both public and private schools. Private schools often do not require certification so this is a good lead-in to the teaching profession for younger teachers.
