Step 1
"...Let's get physical, physical..." When you become angry, excess adrenaline is release into your bloodstream. Getting active is one of the best ways to deal with this. Brisk walking, running, and jogging are examples of ways to burn off that excess adrenaline flooding your system. A little physical fitness never hurt anyone, and is a great way to calm down.

Step 2
Clean house, literally. Cleaning house is also a good way to vent anger. Sweeping, vacuuming, and doing laundry are great ways to shake off that anger.
-
Step 3
Write a letter ... just don't send it! If a person, or group of people have made you angry, write a letter. Let it all come out on paper. Sometimes all it takes it getting something off your chest to help you calm down. It also is a great way to look at things in perspective.
-
Step 4
Prayer, meditation, or just plain silence. Sometimes you just need to take a time-out when your upset. Praying, meditating, or just sitting in silence for 20 minutes or so can help get anger under control. Reflect on positive ideas during this time, while taking a few deep breaths. Life's way too short to stay angry for long, so the key is to eliminate it as quickly as possible.
