1
Think before you act. Give yourself at least a few days to weigh the benefits and weaknesses of each potential response to your setback before you proceed.
-
2
Keep your eye on the prize to make continuing to your ultimate goal easier. After experiencing your setback, take a moment to think about what you are working toward and why you are so eager to achieve it.

Stay positive. Getting a little down when you experience a setback is perfectly natural; however, allowing yourself to fall into a veritable coma of depression is far from productive. Keep things in perspective, reminding yourself of the actual magnitude of the setback instead of blowing the whole thing out of proportion and making it a much bigger deal than it needs to be.

Surround yourself with supportive people. These people are the ones most likely to help you get and stay in a positive frame of mind, allowing you to better bounce back.
