How to Make a Barnyard Mural

Painting a mural on a wall can add decoration to a room and add a visual element. A barnyard mural, which can teach children about animals on farms, makes a good decoration for a child's room, a day care or school. If the mural is for children, allow them to help. If you can't draw the shapes, use stencils. The mural can take up a whole wall or small area.

Things You'll Need

• Paint
• Paintbrushes
• Paint trays
• Pencils
• Stencils

Instructions

1. Pour white paint in a paint tray and use it to paint the wall or the smaller area where you want the mural.

2. Draw a barnyard scene with a pencil on the white wall. Draw a barn, fence, animals, fields and any other items you want on the farm. Use the stencils at this stage, if needed.

3. Use different colors of paint to color in the shapes drawn with the pencils.

4. Erase any visible pencil marks once the paint dries.
