How to Write a Hidden Love Message

Writing a hidden love message is a cute and exciting way to profess your love for someone. It could also be a way to express your love to someone as a secret admirer, without making it known yet. A very simple way exists to write a hidden love message on a note or piece of art.

Things You'll Need

• Invisible ink pen
• Computer
• Microsoft Word

Instructions

Printed Love Note

1. Purchase an invisible ink pen. These pens allow you to write a message that is only visible under an ultraviolet light.

2. Write your note as normal. If this will be a piece of art, such as a drawing, complete your drawing as normal and leave a small white space where you can write your hidden love message. Allow the ink or paint to dry completely.

3. Use your invisible ink pen to write your love message. You can either write it over the visible words, on the back of the page, or to the side.

4. Deliver your note or picture personally or through the mail. Remember that the recipient will have to use a black light in order to read the hidden message. Send a small black light with the letter or picture if you really want the person to find the message. The special ink will not show if the page is scanned -you must send the actual written page.

Electronic Love Note

1. Write your note in a Microsoft Word file. Click "Insert" then "Header" on the main menu (could be "View" then "Header or Footer" on the menu, depending on your version of Word). You can also just double click the area at very top of the page, regardless of your version.

2. Insert a text box. Type in your love message. Make sure that it fits inside of the page. Click "Different First Page" under the header options ("View" then "Header and Footer" then "Page Setup" or it will appear right on the menu bar in Word 2007, see "References" for more information) if you only want the message to appear behind the first page.

3. Make the text white to match the background and then remove the border from around the box (right-click then click "Format Text Box").

4. Double click outside of the head to go back to your original document. Save and send your file to your loved one via email.

5. Type a hidden love message in white letters right in your email box as an alternative. In both cases, the recipient will need to highlight the hidden text in order to read it.

Tips & Warnings

• Give your intended an indication that there may be a hidden message and then challenge him to find it. Turn it into a game.
