A little dirt can become a big problem when water gets involved. Mud sticks to shoes and paws and can get all over everything. When mud is fresh it spreads easily, making a small mess into a big one quickly. By the times it dries up, it leaves an unsightly dirty stain. If mud gets onto concrete it can mar the appearance; fortunately, it's easy to remove.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Push broom
  • Powdered detergent
  • Bucket
  1. Step 1

Sweep away as much of the mud as possible. Dried mud can be swept away with a push broom; wet mud can be scooped up with paper towels.

  2. Step 2

Add a scoop of powdered laundry or dishwasher detergent to a bucket of water.

  3. Step 3

Pour the soapy water onto the area to soak it.

  4. Step 4

Scrub the area with a push broom to remove the stain. Use more of the soapy water as needed to keep the area damp.

  5. Step 5

Rinse the area with clean water.

Tips & Warnings
  • A pressure washer can effortlessly lift stubborn stains from concrete if you have one available. Be sure to follow the manufacturer's instructions carefully.
  • Add 1 cup white vinegar to the soapy water if there appear to be rust stains from minerals in the mud.
