The human body requires certain minerals to function properly. People often think that if they eat a healthy diet with lots of leafy greens and whole grains, they are getting the requisite amount of minerals. But according to researchers in the Department of Soil Science at the University of Wisconsin, decades of improper farming techniques and soil overuse has produced crops that lack the necessary minerals. One such mineral is fulvic acid, which helps the body absorb nutrients. When diet alone does not yield enough fulvic acid, a daily supplement might very well be the best, and only, option.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Drinking glass
  • Two tablespoons of liquid fulvic acid
  • Twelve tablespoons of non-chlorinated water

Wait a While Before Eating Your Wheaties

  1. Step 1

First thing in the morning, before you have eaten anything, pour the fulvic acid into a drinking glass.

  2. Step 2

    Add the non-chlorinated water.

  3. Step 3

Using the same tablespoon, mix everything together and drink the contents of the glass.

  4. Step 4

Wait 30 minutes before ingesting any food or drinks.

  5. Step 5

Repeat Steps one through four each morning.

Tips & Warnings
  • Not everyone keeps non-chlorinated water on hand at all times. To simplify the process, consider using fruit juice made with filtered water in place of non-chlorinated water.
  • The water that comes out of your tap is chlorinated. Mixing chlorine and fulvic acid may result in the creation of carcinogens. Given that scientists have found a direct link between cancer and carcinogens, it is best to avoid ingesting them at the same time.
