Things You'll Need
- Clay pot
- Moss
- Bowl or blender
- Buttermilk
- Measuring cup
- Foam craft brush

Remove the price sticker and any adhesive matter from a clay pot and clean it thoroughly. Rinse with clear water.

Tear moss into tiny pieces. Remove any sticks and dead material from moss that you have gathered out of doors. Place 1 cup of moss bits into a mixer bowl or blender that is used for craft projects.

Pour 1 cup of buttermilk over the moss. Stir to mix well or puree in the blender.

Use the foam craft brush to coat the clay garden pot thoroughly with the buttermilk and moss mixture.

Place the pot in a cool, shady or dark place for a few weeks. It is important that it is kept moist to encourage moss growth during the antiquing process.
