How to Blend Essential Oils for Magic

You can use essential oils in place of herbs in most magical applications. You can also blend oils together for charms and spells or to anoint magical tools. Blending essential oils for magic is easy, and only takes a few household items.

Things You'll Need

• Table
• Tablecloth
• Two-ounce brown glass bottle
• Clean towel
• White taper candles
• Candle holders
• Small dish of salt
• Small dish of spring water
• Essential oils of your choice
• Self-stick labels
• Pen

Instructions

Set Up Your Workspace

1. Immerse the brown glass bottle and cap into boiling water for 10 minutes. Put the bottle and lid upside down on the clean towel to drain and cool.

2. Cover your work table with a clean tablecloth.

3. Put the empty bottle into the center of the table. Line the bottles of essential oil in the order of intended use in front of the empty bottle.

4. Put the taper candles into their holders and put them behind the bottles. Put one on either side so that there is space between the candles.

5. Put the salt and water dishes in front of the bottles. Put one on either side so that there is space between the dishes.

6. Light the taper candles and sprinkle three pinches of salt into the water.

Cleanse and Protect Your Work Space.

1. Take the dish of salt water and circle the room three times. Walk clockwise and sprinkle the salt water in each corner of the room. Envision a white light encircling the room. Return the dish of salt water to your work table.

2. Pick up each of the bottles of essential oil and dip them into the salt water. Envision the salt water cleansing the bottles.

3. Pick up the empty bottle and dip it into the salt water. Envision the salt water cleansing the bottle.

Blend your Oils

1. Pick up the first oil and hold it in both hands. Visualize your intent while adding drops of the oil to the brown glass bottle.

2. Pick up the next oil and visualize your intent. Add drops of the oil and, after putting the cap on, gently roll the bottle between your hands while continuing to visualize your intent.

3. Continue to add each of your intended essential oils. Visualize your intent and roll the bottle between your hands after each oil.

4. Label the bottle with the name of the intended spell.

Tips & Warnings

• Suggested Blends:

• For love: three drops patchouli, 10 drops vanilla, five drops clove, five drops cinnamon.

• For protection: four drops garlic, 10 drops basil, six drops sage, six drops rosemary.
