Removing grass from around your sprinkler system's heads is an easy task. You don't need a special tool or to remove the sprinkler head. Things You'll Need
- Garden gloves
- Knee pads or foam kneeling knee pad
- Small garden shovel
- Trash bag or can
- Bottle of weed killer
- Clean rag or towel

Put on a pair of garden gloves and some knee pads or use a foam kneeling knee pad to protect your hands and knees.

Dig a circle about 4 inches deep and 1 inch wide around the sprinkler head with a small garden shovel.

Place the dug out grass, weeds and dirt into a trash bag or can.

Pour a ½ cup of weed killer around the sprinkler head.

Wipe the sprinkler head with a clean rag or towel.

Repeat steps for the next sprinkler head you need to remove grass from around.
