Tips & Warnings
The North American Bluebird Society recommends using a metal pipe, like an electrical conduit. Metal pipes are more difficult for predators like raccoons and snakes to climb than wooden posts. Face the entrance of the bird house away from the harsh winds and morning sun. This will allow birds to continue to enjoy the house even when the weather is harsh.
Use caution when working with power tools and the fence post driver. Work with the professionals at your local home improvement store if you are unsure how to accomplish any of the tasks listed above.
