Plastic patio furniture is a very durable option for outdoor furniture. But as with anything that sits outside for extended lengths of time, it will accumulate dirt and debris and possibly even mold and mildew. Because of its durability, it's also pretty easy to clean. Things You'll Need

  • Rag
  • White vinegar
  • Liquid dish soap
  • Bucket
  • Baking soda
  • Sponge
  • Towel
  • Scrub brush

Instructions

      Wipe off the chairs with a rag to get any particles and debris off the chair.

      Mix 1 cup of white vinegar with 1 gallon of water in a bucket. You can add a few drops of liquid soap if you would like.

      Dampen the sponge in the vinegar solution and sprinkle a generous amount of baking soda on it. Rub it onto a small portion of the chair. You may want to allow it to sit for a minute or so depending on how dirty the chairs are.

      Wipe the area clean with a towel that has soaked in the vinegar solution. If there are tough stains, use a small scrub brush or even an old toothbrush to scrub the area.

      Repeat on the remainder of the chair focusing on a small area at a time.

Tips & Warnings

  • You can also fill a spray bottle with bleach, spray it onto the furniture, let it sit for a few minutes and wash it off with water from a hose.
