Firefox 3.5 makes it convenient when a user needs to rearrange and organize files, especially bookmarks.   • Mozilla Firefox 3.5.X versions, i.e. 3.5.3/3.5.5
  1. Step 1

    Open Firefox 3.5 browser. There are two ways to rearrange the bookmarked website icons:

    Method 1:

    Press Ctrl+B if the bookmarks are not showing on the bookmarks toolbar. Decide which ones you would like to keep and how you will rearrange them on the toolbar.

    Right-click the icon you want to remove and select "Delete" from the list.

    For the ones you want to keep, one at a time, left-click the icons and holding it while dragging. Drop them in the position where you would like them to be on the bookmarks toolbar. Before placing each icon, you will see a "blue down arrow" indicating a slot is available for the icon. Release left mouse key to place bookmark icon.

    Method 2:

    Go to the main menu bar, Bookmarks > Organize Bookmarks (or, Ctrl+Shift+B). On the dialog window, click the directory folder on the left pane to expand the folders tree. Select the Bookmark Toolbar Folder on the expanded tree.

    You will see all the bookmarked websites and icons on the Bookmark Toolbar Folder.

    Right click on icon and choose "Delete" to remove from bookmark list.

    Click and drag the ones you want to arrange and drop them in the desired order. When done, click the red "X" on the upper-right window corner to exit.

    If you decide to put the removed bookmarked websites back on the bookmark list and bookmark toolbar, go to your recycle bin. On the recycle bin dialog window, right-click the website icon you wish to have it back, use left mouse key and select "Restore" from the list.
