How to Approach Hepatitis C Naturally

Hepatitis is an inflammation of the liver, usually caused by a viral infection. There are different types of hepatitis, classified according to the virus that causes the condition.

    The three leading types of this disease are hepatitis A, hepatitis B, and hepatitis C. There are other, less common types as well, and all are contagious to some extent.

    Hepatitis C is the most serious form of hepatitis. There are several ways to help the body cope with this condition.

    Artichoke and milk thistle extract have both been shown to help with healing, and support liver function.

  4. Step 4

    Burdock, dandelion, and red clover are important liver and blood cleansers. Olive leaf is a potent anti-fungal and anti-viral agent. Turmeric is a powerful anti-inflammatory.

  5. Step 5

    Diet is very important. Eat fresh fruits and vegetables, artichokes, good fats and green drinks.

  6. Step 6

    Consume absolutely no alcohol. Do not take supplements or OTC drugs containing alcohol.

  7. Step 7

    Avoid processed foods high in sugar, saturated fat, and preservatives such as nitrates and nitrites.

  8. Step 8

    If you have hepatitis C, reduce iron levels in the body. High iron levels inhibit therapy for the liver.

  9. Step 9

    Silymarin, the active compound in milk thistle, has been shown to lower liver enzymes and help with damage commonly found in people with hepatitis C.
