Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 16 oz Cream Cheese, Softened
  • 7 Cups of Confectioner's Sugar
  • 2 sticks of softened butter
  • 2 Teaspoons of Pure Vanilla Extract
  1. Step 1

    Sift all 7 cups of Confectioners' Sugar into a large bowl; Set aside.

  2. Step 2

    In a large mixing bowl whip together 16 oz of softened cream cheese and 2 sticks of softened butter until smooth. Gently fold in 2 teaspoons of pure vanilla extract.

  3. Step 3

    Next, on low speed, gradually add the confectioner’s sugar, small bits at a time. Beat until incorporated, scrape down the bowl as needed. Mix on high until fluffy and light. Frost a cooled 13x9 cake, 24 cupcakes or a 2-layer cake.

  4. Step 4

    For Fudgey Chocolate Cream Cheese Frosting, Fold in 3 Tablespoons of unsweetened cocoa powder into the frosting after everything is combined. This frosting tastes amazing on Vanilla Cake!

Tips & Warnings
  • Do not skip sifting the Confectioner's Sugar, it makes a world of difference.
  • Using Salted butter tastes best in this recipe.
  • Pure Vanilla Extract is way BETTER than imitation vanilla!
  • For Bakery Bought looking Cakes, frost with an offset spatula.
