How to Build an Inexpensive Fire pit
Directions for creating an inexpensive outdoor fire pit. Does this Spark an idea?
Things You'll Need
- Make sure you have ample backyard space and the ordinances allow for backyard burning and fires.
- shovel
- tape measure or yard stick
- stone or bricktape

Choose a location.
- make sure the spot is away from trees or structures
- recommend clear for 100 feet around the pit
- make sure there are not roots or underground stone. -

Mark your pit location.
- recommend a four foot radius
- this will allow for a average pieces of wood to be burned safely. -

Dig the circular pit.
- recommend the depth be at least 1 to 2 feet in depth. This will allow the pit to burn safely if the wind is blowing.
- this will also allow you to place a grate over the pit for outdoor cooking.
- after the pit is dug place stone or brick around the pit. I prefer using cement blocks, they are cheaper and they provide a level base around the pit.
- they pit is ready to go.
