Some studies claim that laughter can be beneficial to one's mental and physical health. Laughter has been linked to a reduction in stress, pain, blood sugar, and high blood pressure; in addition, it has been shown to enhance the immune and circulatory systems. Although the writer is not suggesting that one should replace routine medical care with laughter, it can, however, help make otherwise difficult situations a little less hard to deal with.

  1. Step 1

    Watch comedy on DVD's and television. Remember classics like "Good Times" and the "Three Stooges", " Martin" , "The Carol Burnett Show", classic " SNL".

  2. Step 2

    Read funny books.

  3. Step 3

    Listen to comedy while driving.

  4. Step 4

    Immerse yourself in the company of humorous people.

  5. Step 5

    Tell one joke every day to your family and friends.

  6. Step 6

    Avoid negative, boring, or extremely serious people.
