Hot oil treatments are popular in treating hair that is dry or damaged, or even just to give healthy and normal hair a bit of a boost. This natural hot oil treatment offers the benefits of standard commercial hot oil treatments. I suggest using this hot oil treatment once every 1-2 weeks, though you can use it more often if you have severely damaged or dry hair.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 2 Tablespoons of Avocado Oil
  • 2 Tablespoons of Olive Oil
  • 1/4 Teaspoon of Dried Chamomile
  • 1/4 Teaspoon of Dried Calendula
  1. Step 1

Pour the avocado oil and olive oil into a microwaveable safe dish, then microwave on high for about 15 seconds. If you don't have a microwave, just warm them in a small pan on low for about 5 minutes.

  2. Step 2

Pour the dried chamomile and dried calendula over the oil, and stir the mixture together gently. Allow the mixture to sit out for about 5 minutes.

  3. Step 3

Strain the oil into a small cup, then allow it to cool until it's warm, but not too hot to touch.

  4. Step 4

Massage the oil into the hair and scalp, then wrap the hair with plastic wrap or put on a tight shower cap. Wait 20 minutes, then rinse out with cool or warm water. Be sure not to use hot water though.
