Going to the mall for the big deals, and major Blowout sales can be a huge hassle. You can't find a parking space close enough to walk, and you have to stand in long lines with irate shoppers who are anything but jolly for the holiday season. Here are the seasonal secrets to successful shopping.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Internet connection
  • Store coupons
  • Comfortable shoes
  1. Step 1

Shop for Christmas presents during off peak hours. In other words, don't spend your weekend fighting the crowds at the mall. Shop at the mall during the early morning hours, during the dinner hour, and at night to avoid the crowds.

  2. Step 2

Buy Christmas presents Online. Shop the online stores in your own home. Dress as you like, and avoid the crowds. Don't walk a mile to get to the stores. Avoid standing in line and fighting other customers for the deals. Jump online early when many other people will be sleeping. Buy items when FREE shipping is offered and you will be practically stealing all the deals.

  3. Step 3

Shop at smaller, local stores during off-peak hours. On days off from work, go shopping early in the morning to avoid small store crowds. You will get better service, but you may have to pay higher prices than at the big box stores.

  4. Step 4

Use catalogues to your advantage. Peruse the items you will buy by flipping through all those catalogues that arrive seemingly daily. Order it online, or call your order in. You can sit in your own comfortable chair at home, and avoid the snow, and cold temperatures.

  5. Step 5

Start shopping for Christmas super early!! Fill those Christmas lists in September or October to avoid the large shopping crowds. This way, it is still warm enough to not wear boots, and heavy winter coats. Many people wait until it is almost Christmas, thinking they will get the best deals. Not so, fifty percent off sales happen earlier than ever now. Plus you get the best selection earlier in the year.

Tips & Warnings
  • Go shopping alone, not with friends or relatives. You will buy more and spend more money when you are with other people.
  • Take your lists with you, and stick to them.
  • Don't buy items for yourself.
  • Avoid shopping on Black Friday. The deals may be great, stores only have so many items to sell. The stores are just trying to get you in to buy tons of presents.
