Difficulty: Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Close your eyes and count to ten forwards or count down from 10 to 0 while taking a deep breath at each number.

  2. Step 2

If your on the computer go to a website called Break.com and check out their funny videos, and photo gallery. The best medicine for stress and anxiety is laughter.

  3. Step 3

Drink a glass of water or bottle of water. Just keep drinking the water until you have finished at least 16-20 oz. Don't drink it too fast just enough to keep you busy and allow your brain little time to think about anything but the next sip of water.

  4. Step 4

Go outside and listen to the outside noise, find a safe place to stand and close your eyes and just listen to your surroundings. Think about positive thoughts and try to remember a time in your life when you were happy. This won't necessarily make your problem go away but you should now be able to calm and relaxed enough to make the next step.
