Narcolepsy is an incurable sleep disorder. It is not known what actually causes it, but there are known factors that contribute to the effects of Narcolepsy. This article will give tips on "How to Deal With Narcolepsy".

  1. Step 1

    A good night's sleep is one of the best things that can be done to help lessen the negative effects of Narcolepsy. This may not stop the "sleep attacks", but a good night's sleep have been known to lessen them.

  2. Step 2

    One's diet and how much one eats is one of the contributing factors in oncoming "sleep attacks". Eating healthy foods and not overeating helps in controlling the symptoms of Narcolepsy.

  3. Step 3

    Exercise is not only good with controlling the symptoms of Narcolepsy, it also promotes good general health. It has documented that exercising prior to retiring for the night helps in sleeping well through the night.

  4. Step 4

    A pleasant working environment helps tremendously. When the day does not seem to be dragging along, your amount of "sleep attacks" will decrease.

  5. Step 5

    If need be scheduling naps during the day is a good thing. That is opposed to randomly just following asleep at inappropriate times.
