A stability ball is a piece of equipment that was originally used for patients needing physical therapy. It is also an effective tool to use for exercise and can be used in different ways. Stability balls are not only good for an overall workout, but they improve your balance, posture and the muscles throughout your entire body. When obtaining a stability ball, it does not come pre-inflated, so you will have to pump it up yourself.
Locate the air hole on the ball that you will attach the compressor hose to, and lay the ball flat with the air hole facing up. You may need a special adapter in order for the hose to attach onto the ball. Most stability balls come with an adapter or even an air pump. If not, consult the user manual that came with the ball to see how you can obtain one.

Turn on the air compressor, attach the hose and slowly pump up the ball. Inflate the ball until there are no more wrinkles and the ball is firm to the touch. Poke the ball with your finger; you should not be able to poke very far into the surface of the ball, and it should bounce right back. If it does not, continue to inflate air.
3
Plug the air hole up. Test the ball's firmness by sitting on the ball. It is inflated correctly when your knees are in line with your hips, and your legs are at a 90-degree angle to the floor, similar to how you sit in a chair. You should also be able to slightly sink into the ball. If needed, inflate the ball while you are sitting on it to get it properly inflated.
Tips & Warnings
To ensure proper inflation, check what the size of the ball is suppose to be when fully properly inflated, and take a ruler and make a mark on a wall. Inflate the ball to the mark.
Do not heavily over-inflate the ball. You could risk ruining the ball by popping it, and you could get injured.
