Microfiber is a man-made material that contains very fine fibers, and is used to make everything from clothing to furniture. Microfiber couches are becoming increasingly popular; the fabric is soft, easy to care for, stain-resistant and better for allergy sufferers because it doesn't attract dust and lint. Removing hair products from a microfiber couch is relatively easy to do.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Two small bowls
  • Water
  • Dish washing soap
  • Three clean cloths
  • 1/4 cup distilled white vinegar
  • 2 teaspoons baking soda
  1. Step 1

Fill a small bowl with one cup of lukewarm water and add a drop of liquid dish washing soap that does not contain bleach.

  2. Step 2

Dip a clean cloth into the soapy water, and rub it on the hair-product stain.

  3. Step 3

Mix vinegar, baking soda and one cup of water in a medium-size bowl.

  4. Step 4

Soak another clean cloth in the vinegar-soda mixture, wring it out slightly, and rub it over the spot. This should remove the last traces of the hair product and prevent odors from setting in.

  5. Step 5

Soak a third clean cloth with warm running water, wring it out slightly, and rub it over the spot to rinse out the vinegar mixture.

  6. Step 6

Allow the spot to dry. If hair product still remains, use a microfiber cleaning solution such as Micro-Restore.
