Take out a piece of paper and write down your characteristics. Words like bold, unique, creative, and strong are a few examples. Feel free to write down as many words as you want. Do not judge what you are writing. Try to write in stream-of-consciousness mode. Use a dictionary if you are having trouble.

Circle the top five words that most define who you are. Use a thesaurus and look up the synonyms for each word. Write the synonyms that you like the most next to each word. This is to help you go outside of the box and think of more ideas.

Insert "DJ" before each word. How does it sound and look on paper? A DJ name should be short but also define who you are. Continue to write down name ideas if they come to your mind.

Choose five of your favorite DJ names. Type these names into Google. If a name is already chosen, then you need to select a new one or make alterations. One technique that you can do is change the spelling. For example, if DJ Enigmatic is taken, then change the spelling to DJ Enigmatiq.
