1
Clean your lint trap each time you run a load of laundry. Consult your dryer's manual on how to locate the trap. Pull the trap out, collect the lint and toss it in the trash can. Do this every time you pull clothes out of the dryer. If you do not clean your trap, it will not collect the lint and fuzz, making more of it accumulate on your clothing.

2
Air dry your clothes or turn your dryer on for only half of the time you normally would. Then hang your damp clothes to dry.

3
Call a repair person to take a look at your dryer if it is taking longer to dry than usual. He can clean the hose in the back that may have accumulated fuzz, which causes more fuzz to build up within the drum. He can also assess whether your dryer is a safety hazard and fix the issue.

4
Use liquid fabric softener instead of softener sheets. Softener sheets can cling to the lint trap and completely stop it up, making it difficult to for the lint to gather where it is supposed to. This can also result in a fire hazard.

Clean the lint off of your clothing before you begin washing your clothes. Purchase a lint roller and use it on your clothing to remove fuzz before washing.
