How to Attach Duvets to Comforters
Duvet covers go over comforters, almost like large pillowcases or slipcovers, and can completely change what a comforter looks like. They can be easily slipped on and off for washing or for changing the look of a room and come in a wide variety of colors, patterns, styles and fabrics. Duvets are sold in the same sizes as comforters, so before buying one make sure you are buying the same size duvet as the comforter you want it to cover. Does this Spark an idea?

1
Line your duvet up the same way as your comforter so that they both have their long edges parallel. This way you'll know that you are putting the comforter into the duvet the right way and won't have to pull it out partway through and start over.
-
2
Put the comforter into the duvet. Don't worry about making sure it's laying flat at first. Just get it in there.

3
Once the comforter is in the duvet, reach in and pull the corners out to the edges, smooth down the wrinkles where necessary and generally flatten out the comforter so that it's evenly distributed within the duvet.
-
4
Close up your duvet. Most duvets have buttons or zippers to close them, but some just have a flap that folds over to hide the edge.

Tips & Warnings
It is a good idea to wash your comforter before putting it into the duvet both for hygiene reasons and because then you'll rid it of any small things that could poke through the duvet cover and be uncomfortable.
