Things You'll Need:
- Brown waterproof camouflage paint stick
- Light green waterproof camouflage paint stick
- Dark green waterproof camouflage paint stick
- Small mirror
-
Step 1
Study the surrounding terrain and vegetation closely before application in order to duplicate the color patterns as nearly as possible. If tall grasses are present, the facial lines should tend to the more vertical, while a terrain of mostly bush and trees calls for a blotchier look.
-
Step 2
Warm the brown paint stick by holding it in the palm of the hand for several minutes to soften the paint. Applying camo paint without warming will not work effectively and may cause skin irritation. Later you will be warming the light and dark green camo paint.
-
Step 3
Dry face, wiping off any sweat before starting the camo face paint. Eliminate any shine on the face by applying the brown camo paint. Beside the obvious front of the face, don't forget to apply brown paint to the neck, ears, eyelids and the back of the hands. If a hat isn't worn, a bald head will need camo.
-
Step 4
Camouflage the face by drawing diagonal lines across the nose, eyes and mouth with warmed light green and dark green paint. Lines should not follow the normal contour of the facial structure; keeping mind that straight lines will not camouflage but actually accentuate its shape. Use a mirror to monitor the application, or ask a buddy for help.
-
Step 5
Apply both dark green and light green to the cheeks and ears in imitation of the vegetation, making sure there is no real pattern and that the paint is applied in an irregular fashion. If hand signals are going to be used, the palms of the hand should not be painted.
