Whether you need the information for yourself, a friend, family member, or to do research, finding a cancer treatment center can at first seem overwhelming. There are many issues to consider, such as the type of cancer treated, methods used, and location. Fortunately, you can easily find quality cancer centers online.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Use the Commission on Cancer's Hospital Locator. This database contains information about more than 1,400 cancer treatment facilities.

  2. Step 2

If you need a pediatric cancer center, and prefer one that is a member of the Children's Oncology Group (COG), you can visit CureSearch. CureSearch has a list of the COG's affiliated universities and institutions, as well as information about pediatric cancer treatments and resources for families.

  3. Step 3

The National Cancer Institute (NCI) has a Cancer Centers Program that supports research and treatment in 34 states. Their website lists each cancer center alphabetically, by state. They offer cancer centers and comprehensive cancer centers.

  4. Step 4

To find a cancer treatment center that is a member of the Association of American Cancer Institutes (AACI), visit their website. In addition to contact information for all of their research and treatment centers, the website gives information about community outreach, educational programs, and patient care.

  5. Step 5

Find an Association of Community Cancer Centers (ACCC) member institution by searching through their official database. They maintain a network of over 500 member institutions around the country, including oncologists, hospitals, and treatment centers.

  6. Step 6

Look up the reputation and performance of any cancer treatment centers you are considering by using QualityCheck. This database contains information from the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations, which accredits almost 18,000 health care providers and organizations around the world.
