Things You'll Need:
- Moisturizer (optional)
- Time
- Your fingers
-
Step 1
If you have dry skin, apply your favorite moisturizer. This is step number 1 to prevent skin sag, which can lead to a double chin.
-
Step 2
Relax your jaw. Let it hang down and back. Your lips will be separated. Put your tongue tip behind your front teeth, touching the palate.
-
Step 3
Now close your lips, but don’t move your tongue. Pretend you’re chewing and move your jaw down and back. Don’t open your lips. The stretch will strengthen the muscles in that double chin of yours. Raise your lower jaw.
-
Step 4
Repeat steps 2-3 five to fifteen times.
-
Step 5
Get ready for another chin-toning exercise. This one will also tone your jowl. Position your jaw and tongue as described in Step 2.
-
Step 6
Touch your lips together and move your jaw back and forth, then side to side, then up and down. Increase the movement until you are doing the last reps with your lips parted.
-
Step 7
Do five to fifteen times.
-
Step 8
We saved the most fun for last. Relax your jaw as in Step 2, but don’t put your tongue behind your teeth.
-
Step 9
Stick your head back as though you were gargling. Stick your tongue way out and try to touch your chin. Then try to touch your nose. Then put your head back down.
-
Step 10
Repeat Step 9 five to fifteen times. If the other exercises don’t make you feel immediately younger, this one certainly will.
