Instructions of how to make your own bath salts at home, with things you can purchase locally, that aren't going to cost you an arm and a leg! This is also a great project to include your older children in, cause its fun and easy to do, plus they can use what they've just made!

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 1 cup Epsom salt
  • 1 cup sea or rock salt
  • food coloring
  • 20 drops of fragrance
  • airtight container
  1. Step 1

    Place 1 cup of epsom salt in a clean airtight container!

  2. Step 2

    Place 1 cup of sea or rock salt to the airtight container!

  3. Step 3

    put in one to two drops of food coloring at a time until you reach the shade you desire.

  4. Step 4

    Now add in 20 drops of fragrance a few drops at a time until you reach the desired strength of smell that you would like!

  5. Step 5

    Keep in airtight container and shake every day for one week!

  6. Step 6

    Now its time to use your bath salt! To do so, use 1/4 cup per bath and ENJOY!

Tips & Warnings
  • If you want it to fizz you can add some baking soda or citric acid to the mix, just don't put to much food coloring in, because it will cause the baking soda or citric acid to bubble!
