Step 1
Drink water. Eight to ten glasses of water a day is recommended but even more is better. You hear it from your parents all the time because there is something to it. An average teenage isn't concern with what they put in their body so water helps by flushing the bad things out that can cause acne flare-ups and not allowing them to store-up in the body.

Step 2
Wash your face twice a day. Wash in the morning to remove oil buildup from the night before. Wash just before going to bed to remove dirt and oil buildup from the day. Never sleep with makeup because this clogs the pores and causes acne.

Step 3
Reduce stress. This step may be the most challenging for you as a teenager because your body is experiencing hormone changes and everything seems stressful. If prayer is your thing pray about it. Practice yoga to release stress and lose weight. You will not only work to reduce your teenage acne but also to increase your self-confidence.
