How to Add Video to an SD Card

Adding videos to your SD card allows you to play them on your portable media device or transfer to another computer, or media application. They are ideal for storing video of different formats and sizes. Whether you are transferring video from your computer or downloading them from a video sharing website, adding videos to your SD card is a quick and simple process.

Instructions
  1. Step 1

    Plug in your SD card into the memory card slot on your computer. Plug an SD card reader to the computer using a USB cable if your computer does not have a memory card slot. Insert the memory card into the card reader and wait for your computer to recognize it.

  2. Step 2

    Click the Windows "Start" button and click "My Computer" if you are a Windows user. You should see your SD card listed as a removal disk. You should see the SD card removal disk on the desktop if you are using a Mac OS X system.

  3. Step 3

    Double-click the memory card removal disk to launch its window. Locate the video you want to transfer to your SD card from the location you have it on your computer and drag it to the memory card window. The video is transferred to your SD card. If your video is located on a video sharing website on the Internet, download it to your computer.

  4. Step 4

    Close the SD card window and remove it from your computer.
