Marketed as the "Quietest Dishwasher in its Class" by the manufacturer, the Frigidaire Gallery series dishwasher also offers a quick drying time, energy saving options and water pressure adjustment options. Though maintenance is largely limited to wiping the appliance down occasionally, the filter system also occasionally needs to be inspected for debris.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Damp rag
  1. Step 1

Turn off the power to the dishwasher. Avoid potential burn injuries by allowing the dishwasher to cool down if it has recently been used.

  2. Step 2

Remove the upper and lower adjustable dish racks. Remove the silverware basket and high side shelf as well. Inspect the bottom of the compartment for debris. Use a damp cloth to wipe the bottom of the tub gasket, the compartment of the dishwasher, if necessary.

  3. Step 3

Locate the filter in the bottom center of the tub gasket. Empty the contents of the glass trap. The glass trap can be found in the center of the filter and is used to catch small amounts of glass, bones, pits or other solids.

  4. Step 4

Remove the glass trap by grabbing the small handle on its side and lifting out. Dispose of debris, rinse if necessary and replace the glass trap inside the filter.

Tips & Warnings
  • A helpful feature of the Gallery series is that the filter system is self-cleaning. As a result, it is not necessary to dislodge and clean anything other than the glass trap.
  • Consult the Frigidaire Company's customer service line at (800) 374-4432 for answers to more complicated questions rather than risk damaging the appliance while attempting to fix it alone.
