1
Release ladybugs into your plants. Ladybugs feast on aphids. Quantities of ladybugs can be purchased from garden centers. They must be released in the evening, and they will fly away if it rains, so you should plan your ladybug release accordingly.

Apply insecticide spray. A non-toxic solution can be made with dishwasher soap and water. Mix in a bottle and spray on plants. This solution dehydrates and kills aphids. Apply weekly. When spraying, pay special attention to the undersides of leaves, as this is where aphids and their larvae will reside.

Plant garlic nearby in the spring. Aphids are repelled by garlic. As the garlic grows, it will deter the aphids from taking up residence in your plants. You can also rub plants with cut cloves of garlic.
