How to Use Photobucket to Upload Files

Photobucket is one of the most popular photo hosting sites on the Internet. For people who do not have a web hosting service, Photobucket provides a simple way to share your digital photos and other files with others on a forum, or even an auction website. Upload your files to Photobucket by using their built-in hosting tools.

Instructions

    • 1

Visit Photobucket using the link in the "Resources" section of this article.

    • 2

      Click "Join Now."

    • 3

Enter the user name and password that you would like to use on the photo hosting site.

    • 4

Enter your name, email address, gender, date of birth, ZIP code and cell phone number (optional). Type the code shown in the box, and click "I accept" after reading Photobucket's terms of service. After looking at a sponsored offer, you will be brought to your main page.

    • 5

Click "Upload images & videos." Browse to the file that you would like to upload, and double-click it. The image will be transferred.

    • 6

Enter a title, description, and tags for your image if you would like to make it easier for the public to find, and click "Return to album." This will bring you back to your main page.

    • 7

Find your newly uploaded image on the left side of the screen and click it. Copy the text shown next to "Direct Link." This link sends someone straight to your picture; send it to your friends, and they will be able to view the picture without registering for a Photobucket account.
