Download Zune software today. Zune is a portable media player introduced by Microsoft. It is necessary to download the Zune software in order to use the product. Zune software can be used to buy music, connect with friends, and listen to your music library. Although it has a lot in common with iTunes, Zune integrates Microsoft's Xbox Live and is becoming an easy way to connect with gamers.

Things You'll Need:

  • Windows XP or Later
  1. Step 1

    Go to the Zune website (See Resources.) Click the link that says "Sign Up And Download Now." Enter your email address. This can be your Windows Live ID or Xbox Live Gamer Tag email as well. Click "Continue."

  2. Step 2

    Choose a password, a secret question, and enter the character code. Click "Accept." Enter your country, birth date, and language. Select the Zune social network settings and click "Accept."

  3. Step 3

    Choose a Zune tag and check whether it is available. Click "Finish Up." Determine which version of Windows you have. This includes Windows Vista, XP, or Windows Vista 64-bit. click "Download Zune Software" then "Save As."

  4. Step 4

    Double click on the Zune .EXE file. Agree to the terms of service and click install. Double click on the Zune icon to load the program.

Tips & Warnings
  • Choose to import your music library to Zune at the start up of the program.
