Plastic wrap has been used for a long time to cover food and containers and to store left overs. One problem with plastic wrap is that it only sticks to itself. That means you have to use twice as much of it to cover your container. Cling wrap is a form of plastic wrap that clings to the object you wish to cover.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Cling wrap
  • Object you want wrapped
  1. Step 1

Open the cling wrap packaging and pull out the roll of cling wrap.

  2. Step 2

Find the start of the roll and pull it out a few inches. Set the roll back in its packaging.

  3. Step 3

Determine how much cling wrap is needed for the container you want to cover. If you are not sure, you can always use a measuring tape. Add 2 inches to the amount you need.

  4. Step 4

Use the metal strip on the box to cut the cling wrap off. Tear the cling wrap by pulling up and across the metal strip.

  5. Step 5

Pull the cling wrap tightly over the container you wish to cover. You don't want to have any air seep out.

Tips & Warnings
  • You can microwave with the cling wrap; just be sure to pull a corner back to allow for ventilation.
  • There is a sharp edge under the tear strip with little teeth. It can cut you if you are not careful.
