How to Treat Sore Muscles From Exercising
Staying in shape, losing weight and working out are great ways to lead a healthy lifestyle. It's very important to stay fit at any age. However, no matter what kind of exercise you engage in, feeling sore afterward is usually part of the routine. Relieving the soreness is important not only to help you feel better, but also to allow you to continue working out.

Drink plenty of water, as dehydration can cause soreness. Drinking at least eight glasses of water each day will keep your body hydrated and help you feel less sore after a workout.

Soak in an Epsom salt bath. The heat of the water plus the salt, will help relieve muscle tension and soreness. The salt also relieves any aches and pains, and helps you to relax.

Apply a heat pack to any specific sore muscles once you get out of the bath. Leave the pack on for several hours.

Put on a heat wrap to help make pain and soreness go away. Self-adhesive heat wraps are great if you have to leave home; you can wear them anywhere.

Take two anti-inflammatory pills (like aspirin or ibuprofen) to help with pain and swelling.

Take a day off; or at least take it is easy the next day. If your muscles are still sore, either skip a workout day or do a lighter workout that focuses on different muscles.
