How to Clean a Virus Off of Your Computer

Turn on the Internet connection temporarily if you don't have another computer to download the program and download a free antivirus such as Microsoft Security Essentials. Otherwise download the installation file on another computer and transfer it using a USB stick or CD-R disc.

3. Run the installation program for your antivirus program. After installation, the program automatically scans your system and removes any viruses it finds.
