Step 1
Making stuffing out of the bird is easy and it tastes good too. Cut 2 12 inch by 12 inch pieces of heavy duty Reynolds, aluminum foil. Place one piece of the aluminum foil on your kitchen counter top. Create a dish by making the sides come up around the edges.
-
Step 2
Mix your favorite stuffing recipe in a bowl and add your salt and pepper and spices like you would if you were going to put it in the turkey. Add just a few more teaspoons of broth or water so your stuffing will stay moist since it is not in the bird.
-
Step 3
Place the stuffing in the aluminum foil dish you created in step one. Cover with your other aluminum foil piece and crimp edges to seal the foil around your stuffing making sure the stuffing is completely closed by the foil. Since the dressing is not in the bird, you will want it to steam heat and retain the flavors.
-
Step 4
Put this stuffing in the oven half way through the time you need for your bird to cook. Since the stuffing is not in the bird, it will need less time to cook.
-
Step 5
Carefully remove when designated time is finished for your stuffing out of the bird and serve in bowl, platter or dish for your holiday celebration dinner.
