Modern Christian music has become very popular among young Christians and some of the older ones as well. This is due partly to the amazing quality and versatility of the artists and the need for music that doesn't need to be censored. Anyone who has listened to some of the objectionable lyrics of some music on the airwaves can attest to this fact.

It's not that hard to find modern Christian music you just have to know where to look. If you don't know much about the new groups and would like to hear them before you buy that's easy too nowadays. There are many Christian radio stations playing the best of the best Christian music day and night.

One of the best things about it is that when you listen to Christian rock, pop, rap, contemporary or whatever you want to call it you don't have to worry about unclean lyrics. The beat may be the same, but the words glorify God. This is great for the kids since it is music they can enjoy and relate to.
Step 2

One of the best places to find modern Christian music at a discount is on eBay. There is a good selection and you can get new or used. Naturally, as with anything on eBay, you need to do your due diligence.

While you're looking online, Craigslist has bargains as well for those who want to shop online and save money. As an added bonus they also have magazines and t-shirts if you're really into it or consider the fact that they make great gifts.
Step 3

Check out large bookstores such as Barnes and Noble as well as Borders. Typically if you know what you want you can phone ahead and place the order. Target and Walmart carry some modern Christian music, but their selection is slim. In addition, Christian bookstores carry many types of Christian music including contemporary or modern.

Many large churches also carry modern Christian music in their bookstores. The only issue here is that most of them are not open unless a church service is scheduled. However, you can call to make sure they have what you want and arrange for pick up in the office.
Step 4

Lastly, consider Christian music concerts, festivals and crusades not only for the great music, but as a life changing experience. Not to mention, how great they are for bringing family members and friends who do not know the Lord.
